Job: Visual Merchandising Manager - Camden
Location: Camden, London
Description:
Lead the development and implementation of a compelling, consistent, global brand presentation strategy across all retail channels, owned and partners, in order to attract and inspire consumers to buy and to achieve our brand equity and commercial goals.
Key Responsibilities;

Create, drive and implement a Visual Merchandising strategy which delivers a shopping experience in line with the global brand strategy and delivers a commercial return

Develop visual merchandising strategies to support the launch of new ranges and products, drive profitable growth of core categories and address underperforming categories

Create and deliver effective VM tools to support the global marketing campaign calendar including the provision of monthly VM guidelines to enable stores, concessions and wholesale partners to successfully implement marketing campaigns

Drive the global implementation of the brand Visual Identity and tone of voice to engage consumers with the personality of the brand

Conduct a comprehensive audit of all Stand Alone Stores and Concessions to assess their use of basic VM principles including space management, layout, sight lines, impact, storytelling, product presentation with a view to driving improvements

Develop a VM tool kit for standalone stores to educate and empower them to make decisions and changes in a confident way to drive commercial success of their stores

In conjunction with Senior Manager, Merchandising plan new product launches ensuring they have impact and critical mass of stock enabling consumers to easily identify newness and encourage sales

Provide Visual Merchandising principles and/or planograms for key department stores to help drive commercial success. Work closely with country sales managers and merchandising colleagues to ensure the assortment is correct for the consumer profile, location and store

Engage key internal contacts across the globe in the power of visual merchandising as a commercial tool and transition the perception of VM from being a supplier of collateral and layouts, to educating in principles and commerciality

Engage store teams in an on-going skills and knowledge development programme to build confidence and inspire ownership of store VM

Continuously review effectiveness of visual merchandising practices on an on-going basis to ensure innovation, consumer interest and increased store profitability. Improve ROI and marketing effectiveness

Work in field to gain first-hand experience and feedback from store staff on what’s working and what isn’t in order to drive continuous improvement in VM standards. Monitor and report on implementation standards to ensure effective and consistent standards

Support the store and concession re-fit programme and new store openings to ensure the in-store experience drives profitable sales and customer satisfaction and loyalty

Brief and collaborate with the Creative Services team to deliver fixtures, props, campaigns which inspire consumers to try and buy products

Create visual centres of excellence and control stores in order to test new VM ideas and review results before rolling out to the whole portfolio globally

Participate in range reviews and educate sales colleagues on the power of visual reads, using peripheral vision, space assessments and maximising rate of sale opportunities
Personal & Job Skills;

Minimum 7 years’ experience within a brand driven retailer (experience of beauty, cosmetics, fragrance and lifestyle sectors would be an advantage)

Passionate about product, brand and retail

Global outlook, understanding of regional and cultural retail differences and environments

Proven ability to drive sales through visual merchandising with demonstrable consumer and commercial focus

Experience of creating VM tools and materials from inception to production

You must be proficient in Adobe Creative Suite – In-Design, Photoshop and Illustrator and have a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
