Hotel Sales Executive

Job: Hotel Sales Executive

Location: Field Based


Hotel Sales Executive

  • To Manage smaller existing UK Accounts
  • To Increase sales with existing customers
  • Identify and create new business opportunities in appointed area
  • To identify, to approach and focus on smaller bedroom hotels
  • To Increase revenue stream in the UK /SW region which consists mainly of smaller properties by opening smaller accounts (up to 20 bedroom (smaller).
  • To Ensure achievement of sales budgets with allocated customers and new business
  • To Establish and maintain excellent customer relations
  • To Ensure all overall targets in allocated region are achieved
  • To Promote Molton Brown with the key decision makers
  • To Manage the Corporate Gifting Development
  • To Support the (UK) Sales Team Support (contracts, assignments)
  • Field based

Key Responsibilities

  • Increase sales through presentation to all accounts
  • Monitor regularly customers results to check shortfalls and take necessary action to improve
  • Call all customers who haven’t ordered for 2 months
  • Identify potential business opportunities with new accounts
  • Submit budgets on a yearly basis
  • Maintain an agreed call plan with all accounts to

o Take orders

o Review range (add to range/change range)

o Review contract

o Negotiate prices

o Offer Christmas Gifts

  • Complete and maintain your outlook diary. Your diary should always hold a minimum of two weeks appointments
  • Prepare a weekly sales report
  • Ensure all customers data is updated on Salesforce on at least weekly basis
  • Ensure all new account information is added to Salesforce
  • Ensure all leads and enquires are updated on Salesforce on a weekly
  • Ensure all customers files are being kept up to date on the shared drive
  • Ensure all contracts and prices lists are up to date
  • Enforce yearly price increases
  • Follow up on overdue accounts (over 30 days) if requested by the credit control department
  • Effectively manage travel schedule, considering budgets and business requirements
  • Become an expert in the industry; with regards to assigned territory, and effectively build Molton Brown’s presence and brand awareness
  • Establish networks with local hospitality organisations
  • Attend team hotel sales meetings as required

Required Professional Experience, Knowledge & Education

  • Interpersonal skills – Relationship building internal and external
  • Communication skills both verbal and written.
  • B2B Experience
  • Sales Experience
  • Experience in new business development
  • Ability to successfully prospect and close new business
  • Experience with a luxury brand preferably selling business to business
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently to achieve goals and objectives
  • Successful track record of achieving sales goals and budgets
  • Knowledge of the luxury hotel and spa market a plus

Technical Competencies

  • Computer Skills (Excel, word, power point)
  • Presentation Skills
  • Negotiation Skills


The jobholder must possess or have experience of:
