Smells great, burns ok.
The candle's scent permeates my home, even when not lit, which is great. Unfortunately, when lit, it has to be "hugged" after every use, due to the side of the actual candle, and where the wicks are placed. If you dont cut the sides in (hug) each time, the wax burns oddly enough to overcome the wick.

Absolutely delighted
Utterly wonderful aroma is surrounding & lingering around my home. Really am delighted with this purchase from the packaging, presentation, smell & even the price. Would recommend buying the larger three wick candle, as it burns so evenly.

Great scent - dodgy candle
This is a one wick candle, received as a gift.
In spite of following instructions, the candle has burnt poorly, with little flame and I am on the point of returning it to a local MB store when I can find one near Cambridge.

3 wick Black Pepper Candle
Extremely disappointing and would NOT recommend anyone buying this. Burns very poorly and leaves too much wax unable to be used. Did exactly what one should - burn for no more than half an hour to one hour at a time but still poor. Had the one wick candle in the past which was very good - this is just not up to the usual standard of Molton Brown, Would like to have taken it back but as used this would be out of the question. Just will not buy again.

Great gift
My husband LOVES this fragrance (I rather like the black pepper range too). He calls it his 'thinking' candle which he lights in his study when working and of course it wafts beautifully round the house! He doesn't know yet, but I've bought him the forte size for Christmas as his other one has expired and he keeps sniffing at the empty glass.... I can't wait to see his face on Christmas morning. I agree with previous reviewer re: empty pots and refills...

A fragrance made in heaven !
I adore this fragrance and nearly had withdrawal symptoms when my candle finally went out. The smell wafts through my rooms with everyone commenting on the gorgeous aroma. It has a warm, woody smell that is neither overbearing or synthetic. I also feel that it is the type of fragrance that can be used anywhere in the home. An absolute definite for the christmas period. Loathed as I am to do so, the only downside for me is the fact that we are unable to buy refills and I am therefore left with lots of large empty glass candle holders.......maybe a thought for the future Molten Brown ?
