Used to be better
This is my favorite Molton Brown fragrance. The scent is excellent, however it no longer lasts as long as it used to; that is to say, not at all.
Please return to the original formulation for this product.

Re-charge black pepper is fantastic
I've been using this product for over 4 years and love the scent. Though the scent fades to my personal senses after a few hours, I continue to receive compliments on it well after I can no longer smell it myself. I have yet to find a scent that I love more or receive more compliments on. Please don't ever stop making this product!

Same feelings as the last review
For a product that comes from a brand as well known and professional as Molton Brown, this fragrence does not last on the skin at all. I still buy it, becuase I am a sucker for anything black pepper, but Molton Brown really needs to look into making this scent with a whole lot more oils and a whole lot less alcohol. Its not cheap, by any means, for its size, but I would pay more ifit came in a parfum variation that lasted, like the Tom Brown private collection frangrences.

Disappointed
I had tried a sample bottle of the Black Pepper body wash and loved it. Because of this I looked to see if Molton Brown did it as a fragrance. They did but was put off by the negative reviews regarding the longevity of the fragrance. I thought it couldn't be that bad and wanted to try anyway. How wrong I was. I should have heeded the reviews. I certainly won't be buying any more, unless that is it is significantly improved.

Such a lovely smell....shame it doesn't last!
After trying a small bottle of the Re-Charge Black Pepper body wash my partner thought he would like to try the Eau de Toilette. So for his birthday I bought him a bottle.....but sadly like most of the other reviews.......albeit a lovely fragrance it is totally lost in a very short time. Which was a shame for me as I wanted to cuddle up to him and enjoy the aroma!
I really hope MB have started to make improvements on the strength of this as it is such a shame. Had it been stronger I would have given 5 *

Sublime

room for improvement
Just love the smell of Black Pepper, I use the soap, body wash and body cream but I will not be buying the EDT until it's improved.
This product just doesn't last on the skin, and though not expensive I don't feel it offers value for money, spray it on whilst changing for a night out my wife will not be able to smell it by the time we leave the house!
I feel with a little thought and attention it could be a first class fragrance but until then I will not be purchasing any more. Could do a lot better MB.

Unique and appealing!
As a chef, work in the kitchen involves a whole host of aromatics. During the cooking process, many of these aromatic are created and liberated to entice the customer and create a robust appetite. Unfortunately, these same aromatics cling to your body and clothes -the net effect can be a bit off-putting.
Enter Pepper -which marries with these aromatics and utilizes them to enhance the scent of this fragrance in a subtle, earthy, exotic way. At least my wife seems to think so, and gentlemen that is never a bad thing.

Black Pepper needs a re-charge!
I am a really discerning person (some may say very picky!) but when I find a product I like, I stick to it! This is by far my most preferred fragrance and I have been using it for years now. However, I'm not sure anyone else noticed but when the product changed from having a beige ribbon with brown writing to a brown ribbon with blue writing, I found the scent a lot less intense and also did not last. I seem to have to spray a lot more on myself to get the desired effect nowadays. Once again I have found a product (after trying SO many other brands) that has tried to "improve" but resulted in an inferior outcome and I am left disappointed. Still, I will continue to use the product (with some resignation) in the hope that an improvement with a positive outcome can be made.
I also use the black pepper body wash which is fantastic - can't fault it!

Re-charge Black Pepper Eau de Toilette
I personally love Molton Brown and all the products I have purchased have given great results.
I bought this EDT for my husband and the fragrance was lovely to begin with but it soon faded and the base notes are not nearly as stunning, quite a disappointment.

Same problem
Fragrance smells great at first but is then undetectable to the human nose after about an hour (about the time you are meeting the people who would be able to smell the fragrance you have put on, that is if it actually smelled of anything).
Also recently bought the Bracing Silverbirch which is possibly worse. Like Molton Brown's reference to "clever people in their lab" in response to another complaint - can only agree in that they appear to have engineered a fragrance that lasts just long enough for you to smell it in the shop. Very disappointing.

I have to agree with the other reviews
I have purchased 2 bottles of this fragrance now and each has the same fundamental flaw...it doesn't last. The scent is initially wonderful, much like the body wash but literally disappears within a matter of moments meaning you can no longer smell it. This needs to be looked at seriously as this fragrance fails to deliver. Perhaps consider making it an eau de parfum? I feel if the scent did deliver and did last, people would constantly pass comment on how good it smells. I have tried building the fragrance up by washing with the black pepper shower gel, using the body lotion afterwards and then the fragrance but this makes no difference unfortunately.

Stunning Scent, but doesn't last at all.
As a member of the Black Pepper range obviously the scent of this fragrance is superb - sexy, hot, and enticing.
Unfortunately it doesn't last on the skin, I have tried several bottles of it over the years in the hope that each one will have more staying power, but its useless. This seems to be a common problem with many Molton Brown fragrances - The Vitamin ABC, and Cool scents don't linger either.
